Los orígenes de esta nueva banda se remontan a un sábado 3 de Octubre de 2009... en el cumpleaños de Anahí Viudez, la novia del bajista...
Fue entonces cuando Damián Sosa (pareja de Andrea Diblasi, a su vez compañera de facultad de Anahí), Cristian Prada (compañero de facultad de Andrea y Anahí) y Andrés Chiófalo (pareja de Anahí) descubren su afinidad musical y similitud ideológica... Inmediatamente no dudan en proponer el nacimiento de una pequeña banda para explotar un poco su potencial rockero y pasar un buen rato...
Casualmente Damián tenía un buen amigo de toda la vida que tocaba muy bien la guitarra, por lo que sin pensarlo demasiado lo invita a unirse al proyecto... Con Damián en la batería, Cristian en la voz y guitarra rítmica, Andrés en el bajo, y Darío Lescano en la guitarra líder, ya tenían un punto de partida... (aunque hay que admitir que estaban bastante oxidados luego de un período importante de inactividad musical... jaja)
La química fue inmediata... luego de su primer ensayo ya tenían un tema propio (Gathering of Forces), y con el pasar de las semanas las canciones de sus autorías no pararon de surgir una tras otra...
Como era de esperarse, y al ver que la banda daba resultado, los compañeros se dispusieron a darle nombre... Luego de varias semanas y cientos de desacuerdos, decidieron de forma unánime que la banda se llamaría M18A1 CLAYMORE, la mina terrestre utilizada por el ejército de los Estados Unidos. Ya teniendo el nombre, Damián (el especialista en estética y visuales) creó el logo actual de la banda...
A esta altura ya contaban con un valioso par de seguidoras... las actuales "Claymore Girls", Andrea Diblasi y Anahí Viudez... Claymore siempre estará agradecido porque sin ellas los integrantes nunca se hubieran conocido! Hasta el día de hoy son las asistentas y fans más fieles de la banda...
Mes tras mes fueron progresando como banda, mejorando tanto en habilidades artísticas como en equipamiento para ensayar... pero algo faltaba... Claymore no se sentía completo...
Fué entonces cuando llega un aire nuevo a la banda... el jóven Esteban Chiófalo, ex-guitarrista de Stratohead (banda de rock adolescente mendocina) y sobrino de Andrés se suma al proyecto como segunda guitarra líder y valioso aporte en las voces como corista...
Desde el 22 de Noviembre del 2009 que la banda ensaya semanalmente, sin parar de proyectar... esforzándose en progresar para lograr sus metas...
LA BIOGRAFIA DE CLAYMORE SE IRÁ ACTUALIZANDO A MEDIDA QUE EL FUTURO SE CONVIERTE EN PRESENTE...

The origins of this new band go back to a Saturday, October the 3rd of 2009... at Anahí Viudez's birthday, the bassist's girlfriend...
It was then when Damián Sosa (Andrea Diblasi's boyfriend, who was Anahí's friend and classmate), Cristian Prada (Andrea and Anahí's classmate too) and Andrés Chiófalo (Anahí's boyfriend) discover their musical affinity and ideological resemblance... Inmediately, they don't hesitate in proposing the creation of a small band for exploiting a little of their rocker potential and having a good time...
By chance, Damian had an old good friend that played guitar very well, so he didn't doubt inviting him to join the project... With Damián at the drums, Cristian at vocals and rhythm guitar, Andrés at the bass, and Darío Lescano at the lead guitar, they already had a starting point... (although we have to admit they were pretty rusted after a long period of musical inactivity... lol)
The chemistry was immediate... after their first rehearsal they composed a song (Gathering of Forces), and with the passing of weeks, their own material didn't stop coming out...
As expected, when they realized that the band was working they decided to give it a name... After several weeks and hundreds of disagreements, they all decided that the band's name would be "M18A1 CLAYMORE", the landmine used by the US Army. After that, Damián (the specialist in aesthetics and visuals) created the band's actual logo...
At this point, they already had a valuable couple of followers... the actual "Claymore Girls", Andrea Diblasi and Anahí Viudez... Claymore will always be grateful because without them, the band members wouldn't have met in the first place! Actually they are the assistants and most faithful fans...
Month after month they have been progessing as a band, getting better at artistic abilities and equipment to rehearse... but something was missing... Claymore didn't feel complete...
It was then, when a new member arrived to the band... the young Esteban Chiófalo, ex-guitarrist from Stratohead (teen rock band from Mendoza) and Andrés' nephew is added to the project as 2nd lead guitar and valuable contribution to the vocals as choir...
The band is rehearsing once a week since November the 22nd of 2009, planning all the time... putting a lot of effort in progressing to achieve their goals...
